KarolR Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 It sounds strange but i forgot how to place a constraint between two cylindrical faces. I don't mean the insert constraint, since i want the shaft to extrude a little from the hub. The mate constraint doesn't pick cylindrical faces. Gears.zip Quote
ConMan Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 You should still be able to use insert, just give an offset distance and choose opposed or aligned for a solution. Pic from 2013: If 2009 doesn't let you do that, you might be able to make the two centerlines concentric. Just use the regular mate command (with mate instead of flush for solution) and select the two centerlines. Quote
JD Mather Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 You have always been able to add an offset to Insert. And you have always been able to mate two cylindrical faces (will find the axis of each). A second Mate constraint would be needed for offset distance. Quote
