The attached file is a small diecasting part. I put the three holes in the outer ears/lugs with a Polar Array and want to change their diameter to make them smaller. If try to use Delete Faces to remove the holes it drastically effects one of the other lugs.

Is there a better way to edit holes in an array and is there a way to make arrays non-associative after the fact of creating them? The dwg is saved in 2007 but created with 2013

Thanks

Since your part is now a single solid item, the easiest way to do what you are after is to draw a cylinder, internal diameter eqaul to new hole diameter, external dimeter equal or bigger than existing hole diamter.

Then place it in the hole and use union.

as for your other question, if you follow the command line, after specifying the angle, you have the choice of haveing associative or non-associative

OK Hoss - that had occured to me after I posted the question but it is such a clugey way to solve the problem. It seems to me that ACAD 2013 ought to have a better way to handle this - like select the hole and change the diameter. And I know that probably can be done in Inventor but I'm not working in Inventor.

Thanks very much for the reply.

As I previously explained, that procedure causes one of the other lugs to sorta vanish. I think it is because the holes are an associated array.

When using Delete Faces it is often useful to go to wireframe shademode to make sure you select the face and not an edge line. (a cylindrical face has several lines depending on some variable that I have long forgotten - you don't want to hit one of these lines)

I tried on your part and it worked fine (when in wireframe).

Sorry, I missed where you actually wanted to change the Hole Sizes.
