tonyj Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 Not sure if there is a way that you can save to use again. But what you can do is, when you draw an object and you create a field for the area, with whatever conversion factor that you want. If you then copy both the object and the text containing the field, both at the same time, your copied field and object will be unrelated to the orignal ones, but will be related to each other and have the conversion factor set the way you hade it originally. So you then need to modify the copied object to whatever shape or size you want it to be. Not ideal I know but, hope it is some help. Quote
Dadgad Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 (edited) Welcome to CADTutor. You could create an MTEXT object, into which you could insert a field. The field would be defined as pointing to the AREA property of a selected OBJECT. When defining the field you can set a conversion factor, if you need one. You can create the m2 in the MTEXT after the field, or in the field definition as a suffix. Do you actually want to show all of this information, or just the AREA in square meters? If you want all the information displayed, which seems odd, you could create an attributed block including fields.
