chelsea1307 Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 so, my company wants to switch to using ssm but we've been encountering some problems because only the actual drafters have full version, the engineers have LT because they send 90% of the drafting they need done to us drafters, but that 10% of the work they do themselves, which fortunatly is less for most, has problems with ssm. As drafters we are just starting to scratch the surface with ssm and fields but so far find them pretty usefull. Does any one have any suggestions as to a way to use sheet set managers and fields and still allow those with LT to do some work. (biggest problem is the boss has LT and we are on a subscription and he doesnt want to add another full program because of his limited use of acad, but he doesnt want to completly make LT useless as he does use it sometimes and sometimes his being able to use it is very important when theres a deadline and he ends up coming in on a weekend and needs to make changes to go out monday morning) if any one has had the same problem at there office and come up with a solution let me know. we really want to make the switch to using ssm and fields but with the current problem the boss is not letting us. any help would be great Thanks Quote

chelsea1307 Posted November 11, 2008 Author Posted November 11, 2008 sorry, i wasnt trying to, i tried to edit the title because LT looks like it with a capitol I when i used lowercase and accidentally posted two and couldnt figure out how to delete the first post Quote
ReMark Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 Click on the EDIT button on the bottom. When the next screen comes up you'll have an option to DELETE via another button. Click it. The Deletion must be confirmed before it will take place. Quote
fuccaro Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 I used my moderator power to delete the duplicate post. The question is still unanswered. Quote
ReMark Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 Thanks fuccaro. Where have you been hiding? Question unanswered. Good point. A boss who won't pop for an upgrade to LT even for himself yet he wants to make changes to drawings done in full AutoCAD. How about a dedicated workstation, standalone, that has full AC on it but is available only to the engineers on an as needed basis? Or...... Does Toolbox 2009 LT by GlobalCAD support sheet sets? I think if it did then the cost would be definitely lower than a full upgrade and another subscription. Just another one of my wild and crazy ideas. Quote
chelsea1307 Posted November 11, 2008 Author Posted November 11, 2008 ill check into the GlobalCAD. and see what he thinks of a station like that. thans for the advice Quote
