TheyCallMeJohn Posted December 27, 2012 Posted December 27, 2012 Does anyone know of any online course that would teach VBA,.NET, or ObjectARX? Also interested in any for AutoLISP, Visual LISP & DCL? I have taken a basic C+ class in college, a matlab course and tinkerd around with Autolisp. Quote
OttoCADer Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 John, here is an online course for ObjectARX: http://arxdummies.blogspot.com/ Quote
BlackBox Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 Loaded questions.... For LISP (AutoLISP, and Visual LISP) there are countless online references, tutorials, and sample code... Your might start with AfraLISP, and simply coding on your own, using the forums to post questions when you get stuck. If interested in a book, among many others, I personally enjoyed David Stein's The Visual LISP Bible. The ObjectARX SDK is free; see this thread to get started with the .NET API... If you're dead set on VB.NET, then consider Jerry Winter's book. As for .NET and ObjectARX courses, consider joining Autodesk University for all of the free courses, materials, videos, etc. they host online. Otherwise you're relegated to the documentation (which is infamously incomplete), this new initiative: My First AutoCAD Plug-In Training, or joining the Autodesk Developer Network (ADN)(which cost $$$). Coincidentally, regarding the latter (joining ADN)... Normally I try to limit direction to other forums, but this is just a great deal IMO, so I say this with apologies in advance to David & Mods here... AUGI now offers tiered, paid memberships, one of which comes with a free, one-year ADN license which gives you access to current software, non-public development documentation, and access to ADN staff for assistance.
