yves_vdh Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 Hi everone, I have the following problem. Everytime I click anywhere in model- or paperspace, AutoCAD shows a kind of 'point' where I clicked, untill I zoom or regen. I know it's probably a variable but I can't find which one and it's really bugging me. Please help. Quote
Tyke Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 Dave is right, yet again. It is the BLIPMODE system variable that needs changing. If you don't know how to change it, type BLIPMODE on the command line and press the ENTER key, then enter a zero on the command line and press ENTER again. Quote
yves_vdh Posted January 9, 2013 Author Posted January 9, 2013 Thanks guys! That was the one I was looking for. Unfortunately I'm using AutoCAD 2013 where the BLIPMODE command is removed, but after some research I found that .BLIPMODE gave me a [ON/OFF] option which solved the problem. Don't know how it got 'ON' in the first place though! Quote
MSasu Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 An alternative approach for AutoCAD 2013 (full): (setvar "BLIPMODE" 0) Quote
Tyke Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 Thanks guys! Don't know how it got 'ON' in the first place though! yves is right on this one. The system variable BLIPMODE is in AutoCAD 2011 but in 2012 and 2013 it is not. Typing BLIPMODE on the command line just brings "Unknown command". In A2012 & A2013 in Express Tools System Variable Editor it does not appear in the list of variables. Using (getvar "BLIPMODE" will return the current value of BLIPMODE to the command line. And with Mircea's example you can set it. Quote
