dsibbo Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 I have created a load of new blocks which I have been using on a tool palette. These are saved on my desktop. I would now like to make these available to all the other CAD users in the office to use. Can anyone tell me the best way to share my palette with other users, I'll have to copy them to the server first I know. I would like to maintain control over these blocks so they can't be changed unless I do it. Also if I update these blocks will they then be updated on everyones palette. Thanks Quote
ReMark Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 I'm pretty sure Stykface has explained the procedure quite well in a previous thread. Try a search but only after checking similar threads listed below. Quote
dbroada Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 I'm not sure how you can stop others fiddling with your blocks but you can export your palette. I am at home now but from memory you right click and modify palette to get the export (or save) function. Save this on the network then go to the other machines and load the palette you have just saved. Do this AFTER you have moved your blocks to the network and have reconstructed the palette to look on the network for the blocks. Quote
