Tiger Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Hi guys, I know I have done this before but I can't for the life of me remember how - and I keep ending up at BATTMAN when I search.. and if Battman is the answer, I will kick myself! Anywho, the issue: I am updating a block with attributes, adding some new, removing some old and moving the rest around. As can be expected, when I am done and save the block and insert it the order of the attributes are all messed up. Now, as far as I can understand, BATTMAN changes the order of the attributes all right - but only in that drawing where the block is inserterd in. I want to change the order permanently. This block is to be used on pretty much all of our projects, I can't have to run Battman all the time! Like I said, I know I have done this, and I fully expect a D'oh-moment soon. Thanks all! Quote
MSasu Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 You may re-write the block to disk (WBLOCK) after applying the BATTMAN command - this way will update his source, too. Quote
Tiger Posted January 31, 2013 Author Posted January 31, 2013 But then I have to explode the block and the wblock it back... does the battman-reorder survive an Explode? Shouldn't there be a "correct" way? (And I know I am being grumpy...) Quote
MSasu Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 You don't need to explode the block and re-define it into WBLOCK's command dialog; since the block already exists in current drawing just select its name and the path to be saved to and press the OK button. Quote
Tiger Posted January 31, 2013 Author Posted January 31, 2013 Sorry for being grumpy Msasu - WBlock was smart enough to no nest my block, which I just assumed would happen. Thanks *kicking myself as we speak* Quote
MSasu Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Really, no need to excuse; I haven’t read your answers like that. Sound that your issue is now solved. Glad I could be of help! Quote
