anyone use autodeskAutoCAD MEP Mechanical Essentials training manual

i am looking at getting the autodesk AutoCAD MEP 2008: Mechanical Essentials manual to help me learn MEP HVAC drawing, does anyone know if they are a good choice for a beginer. with the poor exchange rate with the states i don't want to payout if they are not suitable.

iv'e had a look through an MEP Mechanical training book but cannot remember if it is the exact one, the manual your'e reffering to, is a course supposed to be running with it?

 

then i'll get an understanding of the correct Manual you're talkin about

i think in the uk its actually covered by a one to three day course which are about £600, the book works out at 95 dollars delivered, it is not available fron autodesk uk.

It depends on what you want to do. The link you have provided will teach you HVAC Engineering Design using AutoCAD MEP 2008, but doesn't "teach" you AutoCAD MEP 2008. And this is teaching you things with the understanding that you somewhat understand HVAC Engineering Data, which you probably don't.

 

This Book -----> AutoCAD MEP 2008: Projects & Tools Essentials is what you need to "learn" to use AutoCAD MEP 2008 and most of it's added functionality. The book you have linked 1st should be the second book you read. You need to read these in the proper order or you will be lost from the beginning. Kinda like the old saying, gotta learn to walk before you can run. Hope this helps some.
