jan_ek Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 Hello. Has anyone tried to do the automatic creation of 3D solids based on plans and sections element The second question Does anyone know how 3D objects are created in prosteelu. Quote
ReMark Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 Do you want to automatically extrude basic steel profiles to derive 3D solid models? What kind of input are you expecting from the user? Can you provide us with further information? Will this be done in metric or imperial units? What is the source of the profiles? Thanks. Quote
jan_ek Posted February 6, 2013 Author Posted February 6, 2013 I would like to draw the shape with three throws it into a 3D solid. The second question relates to the size of the file. Prosteel in objects are not solid, what kind of objects? I apologize for the errors and ambiguities.I use just the translator Quote
ReMark Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 Seems we have a bit of a problem here with translations. You want to draw the shape shown in your image using just three inputs from the user? If Prosteel objects are not solid what are they? Shapes? Where are you located? What is your native language? Quote
ReMark Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 Can you attach a copy of the drawing to your next post? Thanks. Quote

ReMark Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 Please attach a copy of your drawing to your next post. Use the "Go Advanced" button found below the right lower corner of the Quick Reply box. At the next screen click on the Paperclip icon. Find your file. Upload it. Insert in post. Quote
jan_ek Posted February 6, 2013 Author Posted February 6, 2013 I would like to create a File 001. File 002 - example of an object with the ProSteel. File 003 - after conversion. Option in ProSteel "Create pure Autocsad.dwg" 003.dwg 001.dwg 002.dwg Quote
ReMark Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 Did you know there was a object enabler available at the ProSteel website for some versions of AutoCAD? http://www.cadpro.co.nz/Products/ProSteel/default.aspx I don't know how you would go about automatically creating the object found in File 001. Sorry. Quote

ReMark Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 Don't give up so easily. Maybe one of the other forum members will have an idea how to do it. But we would need more information. Quote
