f700es Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 Have you pushed/pulled the 2D into 3D? Are you trying to paint 2D faces. Can you share a picture of the issues you are having? Hard to tell from your post. Quote

dboy413 Posted November 14, 2008 Author Posted November 14, 2008 yes i'm trying to paint 2d faces. here is a picture of what i'm working on.Elevation Cad Tutor.pdf the problem i'm having is that i can't just import and start painting it's like i'm going to have to redraw the whole thing.!? Quote
f700es Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 Looks like your faces are not filled in. SU has issues with this on DWGs from time to time. You can at times redraw a line and it will fill in. There is a RUBY script that can help IIRC. Quote
dboy413 Posted November 14, 2008 Author Posted November 14, 2008 yeah but sometimes times it fills in areas that i don't want filled in. Not familiar with RUBY scripts, what are those?? Quote
f700es Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 Add-ons like LISP routines for Acad. There is one already there.. Tools - Utilities - Create Face. See if it is there. Quote
dboy413 Posted November 17, 2008 Author Posted November 17, 2008 there is no option for utilities under "tools" Quote
f700es Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 Ok, I must have added that one. You can probably retrace over a single line and the face should fill in. Quote
dboy413 Posted November 17, 2008 Author Posted November 17, 2008 ok cool, i just watched a video on ruby scripts and tried to download "make faces" and it won't let me install??? Quote
f700es Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 You should be able to copy the contents to the plugins folder, weird Quote
dboy413 Posted November 18, 2008 Author Posted November 18, 2008 yeah i know it should be that easy, but for some reason it doesn't like me at all!! Quote
