Organic Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 can you check now my friend please and give me a easy way to make cut fill quty. There isn't an easy way. So you have your road centreline design levels, although what is the cross fall on your road? What batter slopes are you intending to use etc? The fact that all your levels are as text objects and not points doesn't help but a lisp might be able to correct that for you. You really do need Civil 3D or similar to create the surfaces and calculate the volumes however. Your (presumably natural surface) survey points look a bit questionable in some areas where the height varies a fair bit between two points almost on top of each other etc. Quote
afrazawan Posted February 21, 2013 Author Posted February 21, 2013 so what i need to do for this i do'nt have Civil 3D can i use CAD 2012 so please help out thanks and also give me LISP Quote
Organic Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 No, not really. You need some sort of civil design software, not just CAD. Quote
afrazawan Posted February 21, 2013 Author Posted February 21, 2013 can you check profile there is cut and fill Qty what is that is it right and check where is 0,0 of this drawing please i think in profile i have Qty Cut and Fill Quote
Tyke Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 If you don't have access to Civil 3D you might try using CadTools. It will not be as comfortable as in Civil 3D, but possible. The program is free and can be downloaded from: http://www.glamsen.se The principle is that you create two surfaces, one of your original ground and the other of your design surface. Then you subtract one from the other. Your problem will be that you don't have a valid 3D drawing from which you can create the surfaces. Without valid 3D information you have no chance of calculating any volumes. Your linework is LWPolylines with no Z values, as Organic said you have no points or levels and the 10 3D-Polylines are insufficient to do anything useful. There are a lot of entities at -9999.999 and at 0.000. The only 3D entities are the text objects along the centreline and whilst they could eventually be used (see Organics comment on a LISP routine) to create a long section there is no cross section data. See if you can get some valid 3D information. Quote
