Hi, wonder if someone can help me

Been looking at getting autocad 2013

Have seen this advertised

AutoCAD 2013 ML02 DVD CG ACE SB

Could someone let me know what all the letters are for, I can guess the dvd part

:-)

Many thanks

Unless you are buying the software from an authorized AutoDESK reseller I would walk away. There is a lot of illegal software out there.

Just curious. What is the asking price?

As far as I am aware, you can only buy a legal copy of AutoCAD from an Authorised Reseller. So if its not from an Authorised Reseller do what ReMark rightfully said -

walk away

Assuming you are seeing this on a quote from your reseller - just ask them.

He's seeing this in a posting on Ebay. Someone selling Autocad to the highest bidder. I closed his other thread where he had posted a link to the page.

mmmduff1, I suggest you read this before buying software from anyone other than an authorized reseller: http://www.hoax-slayer.com/cheap-software-spam.html

mmmduff1, don't just walk away from this offer, run as fast as you can. It's not only illegal but it will almost certainly contain trojans and key stroke loggers which will send your personal information to some hack who is just waiting to bust into your bank accounts.

For the record, AutoCAD has two retail prices and right now AC 2013 design suite is about $4200 from the resellers, and $4300 if you buy it direct from AutoDesk. I may be off a little on those numbers but it's right in that neighborhood. Anyone selling it on ebay is breaking the copyright laws and should be avoided.

BTW - We just bought a new copy of 2013 Design Suite with an annual subscription. With sales tax and all it came to just under $5000. Steep price for just about anyone but if you want to be legal with AutoCAD, that's the price range to look for.

Remember there are always the educational copies of AutoCAD which can be had for free, and there are other CAD programs out there with much the same functionality as AutoCAD at a fraction of the cost.

There is also a free CAD program called Draftsight, which I use here at home. It doesn't have 3D modeling capability or lisp customization, but for straight 2D drafting, it's pretty much the same as Autocad.
