Ski_Me Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Since it's a snow day here I have some time to work on some office stuff. I've created my new template now I want to update my blocks. Because I have to place blocks that show a direction for operation I have created 4 blocks of the same symbol-up, down, left, right. I do this because these blocks have text with them that needs to be orientated to the layout (otherwise I get a nasty letter back from the fire marshal). Now for the text that is constant I just use a annotative text style and have the text match the layout but the text that is an attribute I'm not sure if that can be annotative and match the layout as well. Has anybody done this with their blocks? Quote
Ski_Me Posted February 26, 2013 Author Posted February 26, 2013 Ok none of the text associated with the block will orientate to the layout is what I'm trying to do possible? Quote
Buzza Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 I'm not sure I understand you 100% but try to XPLODE the block before you rotate? Quote
Ski_Me Posted February 26, 2013 Author Posted February 26, 2013 I want the text that is part of the block to align itself to the x-axis of the layout for left to right reading no matter what angle I place the block in the drawing without having to expode the block to edit the text Quote
Mike_Taylor Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Is the text in your bloack an attribute or M-Text? Quote
SLW210 Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 You could make a dynamic block or use a LISP. Try DOTSOFT's FREESTUFFand download INSROT.LSP. Quote
Ski_Me Posted February 26, 2013 Author Posted February 26, 2013 Never made a dymanic block before going to try and upload an example I found of what I'm trying to do. Quote

Ski_Me Posted February 26, 2013 Author Posted February 26, 2013 https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BzQGVtGg_AXrYXlRandnU1hEaEk/edit?usp=sharing Needs some tweaking but I did it just click on the block and grab the grip Quote
Buzza Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 Your first doc I have the same problem as you, but if I make a new doc and try to replicate I don't have the problem. Quote
Mike_Taylor Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 That was what I was going to suggest. Your attribute text style being annotative. Quote
