SwChilly Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 I've tried searching but there hasn't been an answer on here for a while. Basically in a nut-shell, I know there is a way to raise/lower a surface, but is there a way to offset a surface basically 1m perpendicular to all grades? Because when you raise/lower a surface, if you have a 3:1 slope, it will raise/lower it vertically 1m, but then the perpendicular distance between the 2 slopes are less. Quote
SwChilly Posted February 26, 2013 Author Posted February 26, 2013 Well I ended up creating a surface using stepped offset feature lines... which isn't very hard to do, just time consuming... In future civils, I would like to see that option though. I've seen SURFOFFSET but that is for surfaces in plain autocad, doesn't work for civil surfaces. Where do I go to request that? Quote

Guest AARi Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 if you got the point list you can add in excel a new colum WITH Z+ or Z- then incorporate into the dwg as a new fieldwork and create a new surface with the new ones [all point will be increased their elevation as is writen into Z+] * make sure : check the the box "REALIZAR AJUSTE DE ELEVACION" ADVANCED options when you import the new fieldwork Quote
Guest AARi Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 create a new format-file to import points, and add a new colum with z+ http://docs.autodesk.com/CIV3D/2013/ENU/index.html?url=filesCUG/GUID-691311D2-25E6-4EF9-BA68-E91C568A8227.htm,topicNumber=CUGd30e100201 Quote
