dirtlegg Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 When annotating a survey, i need to label the line's bearing and distance as a number (L1, L2, L3, etc.) and display L1 or L2 on the line. Then put those line numbers in a table indicating their bearing and distance. How can i label those lines by number in civil 3d 2012??? Quote
CyberAngel Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 I haven't done that in a while, but I believe you have to use the table creation utility. Once you start picking lines to add to the table, Civil 3D automatically assigns labels and label numbers to them. Be careful adding the lines, it's hard to go back and add one you missed. Oh wait, do you want to use literal numbers as labels? Say, "3" instead of "L3"? or do you want to identify the line in the table by number instead of label? Quote
Bill_Myron Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 You first need to add the line labels. When you label a line or curve Civil 3D automatically creates a tag #. You can display that in the label. Once all your labels are in, you can create a table. The labels and tables will be dynamic. Quote
