Block properties change with array command of autocad 2012

guyys please help...Im a user of Autocad 2012 but in the new array command of autocad 2012 , when a block is arrayed the entire array acts as one unit and all the objects in it move together . This can be changed by xploding the arrayed objects and i can move the oblects individually but when this is done my block properties are lost...Auto cad renames this block and no longer identifies as my old block..

how can i retain my block porperties whilst usin the array command in autocad 2012!!

Look at your command line. Arrays are associative by default. You have to change this from "yes" to "no" to end up with individual blocks. Look:

 

Select objects:

Enter array type [Rectangular/PAth/POlar] : r

 

Type = Rectangular Associative = Yes

 

Select grip to edit array or [ASsociative/Base point/COUnt/Spacing/COLumns/Rows/Levels/eXit]: AS

Create associative array [Yes/No] : no
