far041405 Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 bonecut1.dwg Hi everyone, I'm trying to create a solid body from a non uniform 3d frame Actually I bought this model and it turned out to be hollow inside. Can anyone help me with how to make it a complete single solid body? [This model is a part of human bone] Quote
ReMark Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 (edited) I've tried a couple of things but unfortunately both failed. Sorry. Let me give it one more try. Curses...foiled again.:( Edited March 7, 2013 by ReMark Quote
Ski_Me Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 This thing is to complex to mesh. If I could get a mesh on this thing then it could be converted to a solid. Sorry to much work than I can afford to do right now may try later. Quote
ReMark Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 I converted to surfaces then I used the thicken command to create 3D solids. However, when I tried to union the whole thing it did not work. Quote
scj Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 I used the F2S.lsp from Bill Gilliss 3 times (in different UCS) and than I did the intersection. Be carefull - I did the model in an Educational version - have no other here yet Regards Jochen bonecut1_08_02.dwg Quote
ReMark Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 (edited) I'm not on my CAD computer so I cannot view the DWG file. Were you able to make the bone solid through and through? Just had the opportunity to verify this via the SLICE with Surface option. Nice job scj. Edited March 8, 2013 by ReMark Quote
