Organic Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 It can't be done well. Some programs claim to be able to do it although the end result is unusable almost. Do a search on these forums, there is plenty of topics on it (although nothing really works). Quote
ReMark Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 You would need a PDF to DWG conversion program. Only a few actually do a half-way decent job. Look at some of the similar threads listed below or try an Internet search using the phrase "PDF to DWG conversion". Quote
Murph_map Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 One method is use Autodesk Raster Design. Raster Design can not open/insert the pdf however the pdf can be cut/pasted as an image into Raster Design then the tools in RD can scale/align/convert to dwg entites. Quote
Ski_Me Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 You can convert a pdf to a dwg very well in fact. Print out the pdf to scale then get your scale (it's the white triangle shaped ruler with lines on it) and start measuring presto you have a converted pdf to dwg and you didn't even have to buy any software to do it. hoss Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 It all depens on the PDF file It the drawing was converted to pdf, then using Adobe Illustrator will do a good job converting back to DWG or DXF There are little softwares that do PDF to DXF, might worth serching for. If the PDF is the result of a paper being scanned, then you are out of luck Quote
cadvision Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 For any Raster editing including PDF have a look at WiseImage from CSoft. www.csoft.com. They have been leading the field for 20 years. There is no one click wonder, they come close. Quote
