thecoffeeprince Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 It starts out big at the base then slowly taper off toward the top. I don't know how to make this rail emboss in the image. I use autodesk inventor 2010. Quote
mattador04 Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 I think, for this issue, you can sweep a profile along a path and specify a taper. Also, the fillet command allows for different fillet radii at different points along a path. Quote

There's a discontinuous point in that picture that's connecting the cylinder with the half dome. How do you make the rail goes from the cylinder, onto the half dome? Quote
mattador04 Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Honestly, Im not sure... you know how to project geometry to a curved surface? Maybe use the rib command? Quote
Bishop Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 You got a bigger picture? I can't tell what's going on in that one; it's just too small to make out any details. Quote
