error opening file

i made an autocad file on the 2012 trial version about 6 months ago, when the trial version got over i couldn't access the file...today i tried opening the file but it won't open.it shows error message "error opening file" in fact the file name doesn't appear under the "open" tab. i can c the file name only in the "recent documents" list...it shows as a blank file:(

please help me with this, as i really need this for my college submission...
