lars84 Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 When I draw in for exampel scale 1:1 in A3- format (420,297 mm) I look at my drawing in layout1(paper space) and realise the background paper-sheet(not the viewport) is only 10.75 by 8.25 mm. It should be 420, 297 mm! Am I wrong? Next step I try to insert a drawing-frame, which is 420,297 mm. When I insert it as a block I type 1 under scale. But on my screen the draw-frame goes way out much.. much bigger than the paper -space sheet. Why why, doesn't the paper space background-sheet change to 420, 297 mm as I want. I try to change limits when I'm in modelspace Limits: 420,297 But that doesn't help. I'm thinking that it's because I'm using a wierd templet -file when I start a new drawing. As a test I opened acadisco. dwg as a templet file when creating a new drawing. I went into paperspace, and there the paper size was 297 by 210 mm wich is an A4 format. But how do I change it to an A3 format? Quote
daft vader Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 you are right A3 paper size measures 11.69 x 16.54 inches or 297 x 420 millimetres, and 10.75 by 8.25 mm is A3 size, you need to select the right size template when creating a new drawing, Aecb Sheet (US Metric Ctb).dwt will give a template of all the paper sizes, pick the one you want to print hope this helps Quote
