Madruga_SP Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 I'm trying to link a text from Autocad to an excel spreadsheet so that when changed in Excel, be changed in autocad. After searching on some forums, I started doing database through ODBC. I made a table in excel selecting and naming fields, added the file in windows OBDC manager, able to make the connection through dbConnect autocad, created label ... Now I need to put the information in the database autocad text entity and already there I'm not getting more done, could you give me a light? Thank in advance. Regards Quote

Bill Tillman Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 That you tube video is so small on my phone and without narration it appears they are just showing a copy and paste method. But what it sounds like you want is a DataLink. This will allow changes in the Excel file to be updated in the AutoCAD file and visa-versa. Just do a search or look in AutoCAD help for datalink. I think you will find what you're looking for. Quote
Deeboyd5010 Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 I have been using data Links. They work okay, but if the excel files gets to big it tends to slow down when connecting the tables to CAD. Once connected they work great. I hope that helps. Quote
