MisterJingles Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 Hi there I've been battling with this for some time now and feel like an ass for having to ask. I use the RIBBONS when using ACAD, when creating Dynamic Blocks with Visibility States I am able to add, rename etc the states, but when I need to tell ACAD what to hide and what to show in each state I cant seem to locate the button within the ribbons to do so. I find myself having to switch back to CLASSIC view to use them and then back to RIBBON. See the 2 images. Please put me out of my misery CLASSIC VIEW RIBBON VIEW Quote
RobDraw Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 In MEP 2011 they are in the visibility panel. Don't know why you don't have them. Quote
ReMark Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 It sounds like you experienced an incomplete installation. Have you at any point attempted to run the Repair/Reinstall option? You might try posting your problem in the Install & Licensing AutoDesk Discussion forum. Quote
ReMark Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 I see you are running Windows 7. There is one thing you should also check. Make sure NET Framework is fully enabled. Go to the Control Panel > Programs and Features > Turn Windows features on or off. Make sure the three boxes shown below are all checked off. Quote
MisterJingles Posted April 4, 2013 Author Posted April 4, 2013 Thanks ReMark, those 3 boxes were indeed unchecked. I have checked them, rebooted the machine but unfortunately still no change within ACAD. I will take your advice and send my query through to Autodesk. Quote
MisterJingles Posted April 4, 2013 Author Posted April 4, 2013 I did a Repair and Reinstall at the beginning of the year. I will do another and report back if there is no change. Quote
ReMark Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 Did you have the feature at one time and suddenly lose it? Quote
MisterJingles Posted April 4, 2013 Author Posted April 4, 2013 No, I've been playing with Dynamic Blocks for only 2 months or so, I have been switching between RIBBON and CLASSIC the entire time. Quote
MisterJingles Posted April 4, 2013 Author Posted April 4, 2013 "Autocad Mechanical Version 2" I must admit I could/should be alot better with keeping up with the updates. Quote
