Sparkey Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 This is on ACAD2013 I'll try to keep this short and sweet. I set my helix around the shaft, looks good. I draw my thread shape, attempt to make my sweep, unable to sweep (overlap issue). I reduce the size of my shape, it sweeps. I cut my thread into the shaft and I noticed that my thread is spacing out as it moves down the shaft. Did I miss something? ACAD13ThreadFailure.dwg Quote
JD Mather Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 Your cutting tool is not in position, so not sure what you are doing. You could also F2 and post the steps you are using. http://home.pct.edu/~jmather/content/CAD238/AutoCAD%202007%20Tutorial%204.pdf Quote
Sparkey Posted April 7, 2013 Author Posted April 7, 2013 I had seen your guide there, but I ignored where your tool was directly on the helix. I did this because I had seen other tutorials where it was positioned off of the helix and it appeared to work for them. I placed my tool on the helix and it cut perfect. Thank you. Quote
