I have previously drawn my title block in Model space but i now know the correct way is to draw it in the layout.

Is there anyway of transporting the title block template into the layout and then saving that as a template for my future drawings?

Or do I need to go back to the beginning and draw the title block again from scratch in the layout and then save that drawing as a template for future use?

Hope this makes sense! Thanks!

Simply use Cut (from Model tab) and Paste (to Layout tab) to move it.

Alternatively, draw a viewport in target layout to show the said title block, ensure that its scale is set to 1:1, activate it and call CHSPACE command. (although it may not be available in LT).

To save the drawing as template choose the DWT format.

ok thanks v much.

If i change the page paper size from drawing to drawing but keeping the same template each time I do a new drawing, will the template size change with the paper size?

No, it will not unless you scale it. That may, or may not be an acceptable solution to you. Your decision.

What sizes did you have in mind our A1 is the same one for A3 just plotted at 1/2 scale smaller sizes we have a different title block, our land surveyor has around 10 layouts all with different title blocks as they are required to meet the state proforma requirements at end of job just deletes the unused layouts. just saying a DWT can have as many ttitle blocks as you like ready to use.

NOTE all title blocks are at 1:1 true size not scaled.
