Hello,

I have begun to be plagued by text boxes and strings that change to bold when I copy and paste, copy with base point, or move to various other locations, and randomly. I have tried to reinstall the program and still have issues. When I open the text box, bold has not magically been selected, and nothing in the properties has changed. Any ideas what may be causing this? It is incredibly agrivating to be trying to work on drawings effeciently and not being able to copy and paste these items...PLEASE HELP!!! I have tried purging the drawings it happens in and it is completely random. It happens in some drawing files and not in others...

The other issue I have from time to time is that when a hatch boundary fails and I exit out of the hatch tool, my dimensions strings for that particular area have changed color to white but the properties and layer is still what they are supposed to be according to the properties box. However to get them to show the proper layer color, I have to use the match properties tool to get them changed back...time suckers! What am I doing wrong here?

Any ideas at all will be greatly appreciated!

One oddity that will make text appear to be bold when it is not happens when the text is has a "Z" greater than "0".

I apologize for my naivete, but where do I find that info? I don't see it in properties and never made any adjustments to the Z access I am aware of since I only draw in 2d

It should be there on your Properties palette under Geometry. The values for both Start Z and End Z should be "0".

You can also see it if you do a "List" on an object.

We have had a handful of LT users manage to end up with geometry that isn't flat. Typically they come here looking for a solution that involves either a macro or the use of the Change command. It's rare but it does happen.

Also make sure you are using a 2Dwireframe visual style.

So what is the best way to fix this? I did find under the list that some show a z value of 1...Not sure I understand the macro portion of your comment...

Use the CHANGE command and the ELEVATION option to return any and all objects that have a "Z" greater than "0" to a value of "0". It's a rather straightforward process. Follow the command prompts and you should be good to go.

Awesome! Thank you so much. I will give it a try and let you know how it goes...
