ASH_CAD Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Anyone any ideas why we're getting the above message? We have two floor plans in separate DWG files. We just want to either combine them or copy our key to the other. Quote
ReMark Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 The drawing that is not yours was probably created with an AutoCAD vertical product (ex. - AutoCAD Architecture or Revit) and contains objects not native to AutoCAD 2007. Quote
RobDraw Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 Unless you have disabled it, there should be a warning about proxy objects when you open the drawing. Read it. It tells you that you are missing an application. The appropriate object enabler(s) available from Autodesk will probably fix this for you. Quote
SLW210 Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 Autodesk Object Enablers only help if it was created by an Autodesk product. If the Object Enablers from Autodesk do not work, see if you can find what created it originally (that app may have an Object Enabler), if unknown you can save to 12dxf>open>save as .dwg, but last option could cause stuff to disappear or change, so review carefully. Best option is, if possible, have the originator Export to AutoCAD or similar from the app used, works much better. Quote
