Pipe Structure Label Tags

Hello,

 

So I want to create a structure tag label, like a multileader tag label, so that I can tag all the structures in a pipe network in 1 click. I created the label and added the tag block. When I add the label to the structure, it drops in the tag as expected. However, when I go to drag the label so that there is a leader, as desired, the tag block disappears.

 

Am I missing a setting? Or is this just another Autodesk glitch that hasn't been addressed?
