greencreeks13 Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 I can't remember the command that created a polygon, where you could item sections of lines so that they didn't visually conflict with other lines or text that you want to highlight. Then you could also make the box itself not show. Quote
ptatohed Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 Textmask. I use it a lot. You might want to make a shortcut for it (Ex. TMASK, TMA, TEX, etc.). Quote
RobDraw Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 IMHO, the background mask property for text is much better than text mask. Available through the MText editor or the properties box. Quote

Yeah, that works too. I'm a Dtext guy but if you use Mtext, then the Background Mask works well. Why is it 'much better' though? Quote
RobDraw Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 The wipeout that the text mask generates frequently does not get along with PDFs. They will print as a solid black box. Quote

neophoible Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 If you're talking about objects besides text also being involved, then it may be WIPEOUT you are looking for. However, from what I gather from others here, including RobDraw, PDFs can be a problem when using this technique. Quote
neophoible Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 I had not realized it till now, but you can create a blank rectangle (not a general polygon) using MTEXT & Background Masking with no text in the box. I can't say how useful this is yet, but perhaps someone else has made use of it and can comment on it. Quote
TigerByTheTail Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 I use WIPEOUT and publish PDFs. No problems in LT2010. Just remember to turn off the WIPEOUT frames. Quote
