SuperCAD Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 Got a weird problem, and I've done a search here but didn't find an answer (apparently someone had the same problem back in '06 but no one posted an answer). I used MVSETUP to rotate a viewport and now I can't move the viewports using the snaps on them. I can select them, enter the MOVE command, and when I try to click on a corner snap or a mid snap, the snaps just aren't there. Noun/verb is selected, and the VPs on the other sheets work fine, but the ones I've rotated are giving me grief. Anyone got a clue as to what's going on here? Quote

MVSETUP and OSNAPS have a history together don't they??? Can you post the drawing? Quote
nocturne00 Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 lol MVSETUP issue again. that command when started as you notice resets you OSMODE to 0. but after you've finished the command its returns the current OSMODE. the problem is, in most cases after you've used the MVSETUP then did an undo. your OSMODE and PICKFIRST variables are reset to 0. if this happens just reset you pickfirst to 1 and OSMODE to the desired combination (eg I have OSMODE set to 4527). SuperCAD Posted November 20, 2008 Author Posted November 20, 2008 Maybe I didn't explain it right. After doing the MVSETUP command, and after my snap settings have been restored, I can snap to any other object except for the viewports when I need to move them. Now, I did a little more investigating on it, and even though the VPs were on Layer 0 it was another frozen layer that caused the problem. When I unfroze that layer, I could us the VP snaps. Wierd how a layer that was unrelated (or so I thought) to the VPs would cause an issue like this. And as far as the MVSETUP turning my snaps off, I just made a button with a transparent command to reset my snap settings while still in the command. Works like a charm. Quote
