tigerblu Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Hi to all, I would like to produce a proposed planning drawing that uses a photograph of the property and then to be able to show the proposed extension mapped as closely as possible to the photo. What piece of software would be the best to use? Thanks in advance. Quote
dbroada Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 you can load an image into AutoCAD and then draw over the top of it. Is that what you want to do? If you st the fade of the image to a low level you can see what you are doing. Quote
boyo Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 I think auto cad raster design is dealing with it, though I am not familiar with it, so can not give you any details. Quote

Kind of nice to have the image in the background, gives the client a "view", a view he/she can relate to. Quote
tigerblu Posted November 21, 2008 Author Posted November 21, 2008 Had a look at Impression and this looks like it might give the effect I am looking for! or is this program just for detailing your already produced .dwg files? Quote

rustysilo Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 AutoCAD should be sufficient for this task. I have done this many a time. The key is to have the highest resolution photo you can. The higher the resolution the better it will look. Quote
