Dana W Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 Using Windows Right Click, Rename function, change the .bak extension to .dwg, then open it. The only way this is going to help you is if you overwrote the drawing file with a file name different than the .bak file. The .bak file is a copy of the last Save command executed. For instance, if you wanted to keep drawing1.dwg, but overwrote it with drawing2.dwg by doing a save (drawing2.dwg) as (drawing1.dwg), then the .bak file for drawing1.dwg is going to look just like drawing2.dwg. ReMark Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 Is there a copy of the original drawing file saved on another media like a CD, DVD, or flash drive? How about on a network drive assuming this is work related? Quote
