gt88 Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Is it possible to link Autocad to MS Access? I want to modify text attributes associated with a block based on the input into an access database. I've read I could link the two using DBConnect, but so far all I've gotten is the Data View - Summary. Not sure where to go from there. Any help would be much appreciated! Quote
Murph_map Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Look at using the DATAEXTRACTION command, the DBConnect is a little outdated and has a lot of issues depending on 32/64 bit OS and MS Office versions. Quote
gt88 Posted July 10, 2013 Author Posted July 10, 2013 Hi Murph_map, Thanks for responding! I've used the DATAEXTRACTION command, which created a table listing the block attributes and saved it as an Access file (.mdb) -- but when I made changes to the Access file, the Autocad drawing (specifically the block attributes) wouldn't update. Is there another way? Quote
