Need routine for drawing sloped lines with exaggerated vertical scale

I used to use the LDD section draw template command to help me draw details and specific cross sections (not corridor automated sections). That routine would let me switch drawing at a percent grade or slope (like 4:1) and was very helpful, the only problem was I would have to change the drawings vertical and horizontal scales for it to change exaggerration (such as 5V 50H for it to draw at a 10:1 vert. exg.)

Is there a command in C3D or does someone here market a routine for it (willing to pay).

Thanks.

If you block a cross section then insert it as a new one you can change vertical scale x =1 y= new value, then explode gives what you want.

I'd do the same as Bigal said. Draw everything 1:1 (as it is simpler), make it into a block, then change the x & y scales accordingly (e.g. x = 10, y = 20 for 1:100 horizontal scale and 1:50 vertical scale). Then you can explode the block so you are left with just the lines if you want.

I too used to use this Land Desktop feature before converting to Civil 3D... Now, the only built-in means is to use an Assembly, which is then dynamically modified based on your scale settings (within a resultant corridor, or section view).

A routine could be coded to allow this functionality for simple AutoCAD entities... While I'm always looking for new contract work as a developer consultant, it's really not going to be cost effective to hire a developer when there's a simple way of doing it already as has already been mentioned here.

Cheers
