kencaz Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Quick question on sheet metal flanges... I have a box with an angled flange. Two of the edges are simple to create using the angle option, however making the side flanges results in a 90 degree flange that will not miter with the angled corners... (see pic) Maybe I am missing something but there must be and easy wan to get the flange to miter to the opposite angles. attached ipt sheet_metal_flange.ipt Quote
JD Mather Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 When creating the 3rd Flange expand the dialog box to enter an Offset so that the flanges do not intersect (on the one end especially). Then add Corner Seams between the ends. Adjust solution, Gap and Corner as needed. Post back with your attempt if you can't figure it out (you left out the 3rd flange in your first attachment). Quote

JD Mather Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 ... One of those little tricks you would never know...Ken I know all the little tricks. You might want to reduce the gap and set the overlap and corner differently (or then again, maybe you have what you want). Quote
