Hey guys,

I have an .iam that I seem to have lost the link to my .idw. Meaning, when I right click on the .iam in the tree to "Open Drawing," I get the prompt to go find it. I've navigated back to the correct drawing, but it doesn't seem to save this, as I have to do it each time. How can I "re link" these two so I don't have to keep opening the drawing manually?

TIA

.IDW file has to have the same name as the .IPT / .IAM. If you do "Open Drawing," it will look for a drawing file with the same name as the part or assembly you have open. Failing to find that, it will give you the prompt to find the file.

Rename your drawing file to match the part or assembly, and you won't get this anymore.

Great, thanks for the reply. I didn't notice, I had the .idw with a "LH" added on to the file name that wasn't in the .iam.
