ReMark Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 You want to draw these pdf's in AutoCAD? Do you have dimensions to work with? The hatch patterns for the brickwork and Spanish tiles should be available in AutoCAD. So, what is the exact nature of your problem? Quote
slickwillwize Posted November 21, 2008 Author Posted November 21, 2008 yes there on a 1:1 scale in mm, i printed them out and measured them and im in the process of doing them. just hit a snag with hatching. think im getting there but when i put the brickwork in it goes over my window frames. so i need to figure out how it misses out goin over them. if you know what i mean??? Hi. When you are picking the boundary for your hatch make sure you use the 'Pick Points' option from the hatch dialogue box (see below). Then pick a point inside the wall but outside the windows. I'm guessing you used the 'Select objects' option and picked a point on the wall boundary itself Quote

ReMark Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 soleary: Are you two gonna hook up right here at CT? I think we may need to post a warning. CT offers advice about CAD. It is not a dating service nor is it a fertility clinic. It must have been the reference to "hatching". Quote

It must have been the 'hatching' reference that triggered it alright Glad I didn't mention anything about 'insertion points'. Phew!!! Quote
