jjerred Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 I'm using Autocad version 2009. My sheet layout is 24" x 42". The HP Designjet 500 (42" roll) is being used for plotting. How do you control the rotation of your drawing on a plotted sheet ? When I plot , the drawing is going on to the paper the long way and I'm wasting paper. I would like to know how to rotate the plot so that I utilize the full width of the 42" roll and have no wasted paper. Thanks in advance for any input . . . Quote
nocturne00 Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 you will need to toggle the orientation of the paper as portrait or landscape orientation in your plot settings. under paper size, the paper orientation you choose here is how the paper will come out on the plotter. in your case w/c you say is going the long way,,, set the paper orientation to landscape Quote
nocturne00 Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Also match your Drawing Orientation to landscape also to match the paper orientation. Quote
fuccaro Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 On our Plot dialog box there is a check box for autorotate. It works well -except when there are raster images in the dwg. Quote
