Help needed in building a helix sweep surface

i thought this may also help you. its a screen shot of my Relations/Snaps settings. This is under Tools>Options and on the System Options Tab. I think the important one is 3rd down, Automatic Relations.

thanks for the pictures. I adjusted my tools/options settings. When I select 3d-sketch-->Point it is no problem to hover over the helix and get coincident constraint.

This never happens with line, though

 

I'll start another thread just on that. There is a subtle problem here.
