Jessica28
Hello, I'm running AutoCAD Mep 2013..I need to draw many thousands of lines in a drawing and when i'm done i'd like to be able to add the total length...Is there a way to do this with lines or Plines?....I've drawn with conduit before and know that I can add that stuff but id like to do it with just regular lines... thanks, Jess
ReMark
If there is no feature included with MEP to obtain a total length then your next best option is to use one of the many custom lisp routines that exist for obtaining lengths of lines and polylines. Each routine will work in a slightly different way. Here is a link to one such routine (as written by forum member Lee Mac)....http://www.lee-mac.com/totallengthandarea.html
Tuns
Well, if it's a polyline you can just use properties to see the length. If it's regular lines or broken up polylines it will say "VARIES" for the length. You can try this or this. One of them might do the job you want. SLW210
I moved your thread to the MEP forum, just in case there is a native solution.
