I am in need of some help. I am using single line text. I need to insert a "left" arrow/ "right" arrow. when I use \U+2190 it gives me a question mark. If I use the same code in Multi text it works fine, however It must be single line text. Is there a way to do this?? Maybe a %% value????

I have moved your post to its own thread, please start a new thread instead of tacking on to a very old one.

What font are you using? does it work with another font? Perhaps test with one that is or is not a TrueType?

Yes, I have tried a few different texts. However I find that in one drawing file I have that it works when I create a Multiline text then explode it. but the other one it just puts a box around it?

What is the significance behind the assertion that it must be single line text?

If you bring up Properties on both cases after you've exploded the MText, do you find any difference?

ReMark - it is text that gets changed often and is easier to change. we do not need multi lines.

Tiger - Thanks, Im sorry to waste any of your time. That "style2" text style seems to work. I guess I did not check enough different fonts

FYI - Text changes can be addressed via the FIND & REPLACE feature built into AutoCAD and custom lisp programs include even greater functionality.
