There's a figure that I'm trying to model in AutoCAD, save as .DWG and use in Revit Architecture as base for modelling some walls/roofs. The only problem is that I was only possible to make it a mesh, but Revit requires the 3D object to be a Solid, and it seems like I can' think of a way of modelling it as a solid, so I'm uploading it here. If You have some spare time to take a look at it it will be great Thank You. P.S. I've tried the Mesh2Solid LISP, but the result it generates is too complex to be used (too many edges, etc.) make_me_solid.dwg Quote

GhostRider Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 Rgarjr, I see you were able to make that into a solid, but I can't seem to duplicate it myself, could you explain more how you did it with loft. or anyone if you know how it was done, I just can't seem to duplicate the result, and I don't like not being able to do something....LOL Thanks Quote
shift1313 Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 if you make the end rectangle and the base trapezoid either closed plines or regions, then explode the surface that is there and use both curves as guides you should be able to reproduce that solid. worked for me anyways. Quote
