Missing Text on xref Please Help

Hi Folks,

 

I have a bit of a problem that i havent come across before, some text on an xref has disappeared in paper space, its there in model all the layers are on and have not been frozen in the viewport, it was all fine yesterday but when i open it up today... gone!!

any help would be much appreciated, thanks in advance.

You're using CAD 2006, right? If so that would rule out annotative issues.

 

Quick question: does the text appear when the drawing is plotted?

Hi thanks for replying, im using civils 2008 (my profile needs updating) and no the text doesnt appear in print preview either.

xref is on the correct layer

forgot to mention that all other objects on the xref are shown, just the text is missing

Can you try creating another viewport? loosely fit around the same area as your current viewport and see if the text appears in there?

 

Also, make sure your text has NO Z VALUES.

 

And, finally, I think Civils 2008 probably has the annotative features. I guess this may be a potential factor?

yeah i tried a new viewport but the text is still missing

Is the text visible if ANNOALLVISIBLE is set to a value of 1 ?

OMG guys sorry ive just realised what it was and its really stupid, annotation visibility was turned off, sorry for wasting your time.

I think many advanced CAD users have off-moments. Don't worry too much.
