wannabe Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 You're using CAD 2006, right? If so that would rule out annotative issues. Quick question: does the text appear when the drawing is plotted? Quote
Dipali Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 Check Which Layer Your Xref File Is Inserted On. Quote
dan swift Posted November 25, 2008 Author Posted November 25, 2008 Hi thanks for replying, im using civils 2008 (my profile needs updating) and no the text doesnt appear in print preview either. Quote
dan swift Posted November 25, 2008 Author Posted November 25, 2008 Check Which Layer Your Xref File Is Inserted On. xref is on the correct layer Quote
dan swift Posted November 25, 2008 Author Posted November 25, 2008 forgot to mention that all other objects on the xref are shown, just the text is missing Quote
wannabe Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 Can you try creating another viewport? loosely fit around the same area as your current viewport and see if the text appears in there? Also, make sure your text has NO Z VALUES. And, finally, I think Civils 2008 probably has the annotative features. I guess this may be a potential factor? Quote

NBC Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 Is the text visible if ANNOALLVISIBLE is set to a value of 1 ? Quote
dan swift Posted November 25, 2008 Author Posted November 25, 2008 OMG guys sorry ive just realised what it was and its really stupid, annotation visibility was turned off, sorry for wasting your time. Regards, Dan Quote
wannabe Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 I think many advanced CAD users have off-moments. Don't worry too much. This thread may be useful to others in the future. Quote
