janeplain420 Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 Can anyone show me how to draw 3D polylines, or convert single lines to polylines? Thanks, Jane Quote
BIGAL Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 Use 3dpoly and just enter x,y,z PE or polyedit and use the Join option. Quote
janeplain420 Posted October 9, 2013 Author Posted October 9, 2013 Thank you, that did the trick. Now I want to dimension the 3d lines. Is there a way to to that without aligning my UCS to each line I dimension? Quote
steven-g Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 Dimaligned works in LT I can't see it being that different in MEP (but it could ) Quote
Tyke Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 (edited) Can anyone show me how to draw 3D polylines, or convert single lines to polylines? Thanks, Jane If you have a set of 3D lines which have coincident end points, issue the JOIN command, select the lines and you will then have a 3D polyline. This also works in LT, which raises the question is LT still just a pure 2D CAD system? You have 3D views, but no ORBIT command, and you can draw 3D lines. steven-g Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 Shhh don't tell anyone, it's always been 3D it just depends on your definition of 3D (and how much work you want to do) Quote
