SteveHutcheson Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 Hi all I am new to this forum but hope someone is able to steer me in the right path. I am working for an international humanitarian agency in Pakistan and we have a number of infrastructure projects happening in small civil engineering works in the areas along the Afghan border region. I am looking to engage a local civil firm to provide us technical support in doing some of our larger projects. We have over the years built up a whole collection of detail drawings for different small structures. I have been tasked with getting our system ready to hand over to the consultants. As it is, we do not have any filing system as such and the designers rely a lot on knowing where drawings are or spend a large amount of time re-inventing these details Can any one guide me as to where I might find a suitable hierarchical index suitable for small scale engineering works at next to no cost? This is meant to be a shortcut to me having to build it from scratch. Quote
BIGAL Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 Sounds like you need to do some house keeping, our libraries are under 1 directory but have multiple sub groups containing similar blocks, using tool palletes you could then create a menu system for choosing a approriate block to be used. Quote
