Flap in sheet metal

Hi,

Is this the best method to create a flap in sheet metal mode?

I just feel its a bit long winded for such a common task.

I didn't take time to make this exact, but you get the idea.

Well, I can't seem attach tonight.

Face with hole.

Flange with offsets on sides.

Good, I guess you figured out expanding the dialog box to get at the Type>Offsets and changing the Relief Shape to Round.

 

If you do a lot of sheet metal and need these "flaps" frequently - I would simplify the process even more by creating a Punch tool for the feature. You could set it up for standard sizes, a range of sizes or for any size on placement.
