Annotative Scaling and AR-CONC and AR-SAND Hatches

Hi,

 

I am looking toward an explanation regarding the scaling for AR-CONC and AR-SAND. I usually use 0.3 for most hatches and 0.01 for AR-CONC and AR-SAND. So far it works. Is there any logical explanation why those hatches work on different and smaller scales? Is it because of the particles? Is there a formula behind all this?

This could be because some of them are metric asks some imperial?
