Hi all,

starting a new job at work so setting up the job folder etc. grabbed the title block and the text attribute insert from the library.....

so here is when the issue started.....

so title block and text attribute are both saved in model space, both have all the same settings, this also applies to the template we have here all match.

so i xref in my title page at 1:1 which comes in normal, then i insert my attribute block in at 1:1 but it comes in at some super size thing, normal 3.5 text size is now 1000......

have fiddled with everything gone back to the library set etc but got no idea.

the interesting bit is if i open the title block and insert the attribute block in, it comes in perfect......

so in saying that i am assuming it is the work template..... but none of this has changed for over a month and have created drawings since then........

any help would be very much appreciated.....been sitting here for an hour and i am out of ideas as what the hell is happening....maybe a random setting somewhere has changed but again haven't done anything different to normal no new radical changes....

i have attached a copy of the title block and the text attribute

thanks for any help or suggestions

Why don't you make the title block an actual block with all of these attributes already in it? It would be easier than having to do the process you're doing. Unless you have a specific reason for not doing this of course.

If you care to notice, the text on your text attribute page is also ridiculously huge. You should probably set the scale on that page. That might be the problem.

honestly hadn't thought of that, it was like this when got here and is pretty normal in must companies i worked for to do it like this...

plus the title block drawings contains info that stays constant in the job, where the attribute changes..... unfortunately would like to keep it like this so less things the other drafters can "accidentally change".

might look into doing that as could save some of the issues we have, but then might create new ones....

I couldn't see it causing any problems. You only need to make the things that do change attributes while making everything else part of the block.

I put down a dimension and the text in the attribute file was much larger than it should have been. I changed the text height in the Text Style window to 2.2 and it was about the same height as your attributes. I think the text height in the Text Style window might have something to do with the large size.

it has something to do with the template, tried loading it all up without template and it worked..... but still no idea why the title block would come in fine but the text attribute would be so worng....

In both drawings what is?

INSUNITS

Specifies a drawing-units value for automatic scaling of blocks, images, or xrefs inserted or attached to a drawing.

INSUNITSDEFSOURCE

Sets source content units value when INSUNITS is set to 0.

INSUNITSDEFTARGET

Sets target drawing units value when INSUNITS is set to 0.

Also check that the blocks are not annotative

Note: The INSUNITS setting is ignored when inserting annotative blocks into a drawing.
