CAnnondale Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 Hi, It has been a while since my last post here. I was trying to do a flat pattern on a object that has 2 different radius (DOME) like. Basically, I have a DOME and was cut and divided into 6 equally. And wanted to get the flat pattern of 1 segment. How do I do that in Autodesk Inventor 2012 suite? JD Mather Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 Cannot be done in Inventor without an add-in. (can be done with the Contoured Roll feature - but the flat pattern result will not be correct) Quote
mledingham Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 what is the add-in? im trying to do something similar, its almost a complete sphere divided into 12 segments and im tying to get a flat development of the surface of the segments for a trial manufacture Quote
